About Us

Our History

The Battle Run Fire District was formed in 1984 (Formerly, the Prospect Fire Department formed on October 24th, 1872). The district covers 34 square miles consisting of Prospect and Thompson townships, including the Village of Prospect.

Recent Events at BRFD

2025 BRFD Open House - October 5th, 2025

On Sunday, October 5th, 2025, BRFD hosted their annual Fire Department Open House. We had a great day full of children's activities, visits from the Marion Co. Sheriff's Office, Ohio State Patrol, Marion Publiand Medflight Helicopter. Our communit was the best it has ever been and we already can't wait until next year!
